LinFX is dedicated to bringing you high quality graphics, wallpapers, themes, links and effects(FX) for use on your Linux system.

LinFX will post full resolution photos and wallpapers, most of the graphics will be free for download and use. LinFX uses and promotes PCLinuxOS. In our opinion it is the best computer Desktop operating system available today. The majority of the FX(graphics) here will be geared toward PClinuxOS. That said, there will also be plenty of graphics, news and info for any Linux user.

In our last poll, most of you wanted the item for yourself. Well, we cant do that. So what we will do is have a wallpaper contest to giveaway a hardware item. That leads us to the new poll, help us deside what item to give away in the LinFX, PCLinuxOS Wallpaper contest! (Details of the contest here.)

Wallpaper contest Print

LinFX is hosting a PCLinuxOS wallpaper contest.

The Wallpaper contest will run until 5/15/08 ENTER NOW!

First, please vote in the poll on the LinFX main page to determine the prize.

The rules are simple, as listed below.

  • You must register in the gallery to upload your submission. Register and create your personal album, upload your entry there.
  • Your entry must be new work and tagged with the PCLinuxOS logo.
  • Your entry must be labeled “contest entry” in the description field.
  • Your are only allowed one entry.You may change your entry, but only one counts in the contest.
  • Your entry must be a photo you own or a wallpaper of your own creation.
  • Your entry must be in .svg .jpg or .png format. (post it as .jpg 1600x if possible)
  • If you create it your entry must be created with an open source application.
  • **All entries that do not follow the above rules will be disqualified.
  • All entries will be moved to a separate album for public vote to determine the final 3. The winner will be chosen from the final 3 by the PCLinuxOS developers and LinFX staff. Public voting will be in the album on the LinFX gallery from 5/15/08 until 5/25/08. The final will be decided on or before 5/31/08.
  • For those outside the US, feel free to enter the contest but be aware that we only allow $12.00us for shipping, handling and or customs you will be responsible for the remaining fees.
